Founder and Director of HazelKath Homecare
Hazel Dodoo is a seasoned financial services professional, entrepreneur, and founder of HazelKath Homecare, a Ghana-focused homecare business dedicated to providing compassionate, professional, and personalised care to individuals in the comfort and dignity of their own homes.
With over a decade of experience in financial services, mortgage production, quality assurance, risk management, insurance, and regulatory compliance, Hazel brings a wealth of professional knowledge, strategic thinking, and operational expertise to her entrepreneurial journey. Her career reflects a strong commitment to excellence, integrity, customer service, continuous improvement, and building trusted relationships.
Hazel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Finance and Economics from the University of East London. She also holds a PRINCE2 project management certification, complementing her expertise in strategic management, project coordination, process improvement, and organisational development.
Throughout her career, Hazel has held positions with respected financial institutions, including JPMorgan Chase, New York Life Insurance Company, and Nationwide Financial. At JPMorgan Chase, where she worked for over nine years, she gained extensive experience in mortgage production quality assurance, mortgage modification analysis, escrow management, and risk assessment. Her responsibilities included reviewing loan transactions, improving quality standards, investigating complex mortgage issues, resolving escalated cases involving regulatory agencies and legal teams, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to strengthen operational performance.
Her subsequent experience in insurance and financial services further developed her ability to understand client needs, provide tailored financial guidance, manage client relationships, and support individuals and families in making informed decisions about their future.
Drawing on this diverse professional background, Hazel established HazelKath Homecare with a vision to help improve the quality of life of older adults, people living with disabilities, individuals recovering from illness or surgery, and families who need reliable support for their loved ones.
